Carolina Pineda Arcila from Colombia has been awarded the Keystone Education Group’s Flight Scholarship from the Global Study Abroad Fair Spring 2022.
Carolina has been awarded $3000 for return flights to her study abroad destination: Scotland. She hopes to study a Magister Litterarum in Bible and Contemporary World at the University of St Andrews and deepen her passion for Theology.
Growing up in a missionary home, she has always been interested in social work and loves to teach people. Carolina has recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Theology and wanted to continue her academic journey abroad for her master's and possibly a PhD in the future.
Carolina's career goals are to become a writer and professor of Theology in a global environment. She has already spoken at many international conferences, and wants to share more of her insights as a professional in the future. Her offer from the University of St Andrews as well as the Global Study Abroad Fair Scholarship are making that dream a reality.
Carolina’s advice for students aiming to study abroad and attend the Global Study Abroad Fair is: “Go into every university that is available in the fair, try to apply to different universities and grants at the same time. Don’t wait until you get a yes - but be ready to apply as much as possible. Be ready for no and yes for the answers.”
Carolina's name was drawn from the names of nearly 9,000 students attending the fair and taking part in our trivia game about study abroad destinations around the world. We later recognized that Carolina’s passion and future plans align with the mission of the Global Study Abroad Fair Scholarship.
About this scholarship
This scholarship is awarded by Keystone Education Group and is directly linked to the Global Study Abroad Fair event. It was open to students who attended the fair in Spring 2022. We seek to recognize students who will study abroad and can demonstrate their enthusiasm for their chosen program, as well as clearly explain how it will shape the trajectory of their lives and careers.
The Global Study Abroad Fair is a free virtual event for students, where they can meet virtually with universities around the world from the comfort of home. The fair consisted of three geo-targeted events with more than 80 university exhibitors and nearly 9000 student attendees. The Global Study Abroad Fair helped many students find the right education for them.
Scholarship applications were submitted via a trivia quiz where students were instructed to visit virtual booths of different universities, collect Passport Stamps, and answer questions based on the stamps that they had collected. For every correct answer, students will have their name and contact collected for the prize draw, and it will give them a higher chance of winning.
2022 scholarships
Applications for the Study a Bachelor's in the USA Scholarship 2022 are open until August 31st, 2022.
We have also launched our Go Global MBA Scholarship for studies starting in Fall 2023. Our Study a Master's in Europe Scholarship continues into its fourth year and will be awarded to a student studying a degree abroad in Fall 2023.
